Elders // Scripture is clear that the elders of the local church are entrusted with protecting, leading, equipping, serving and caring for the church. We have committed to the concept of team leadership - or an elder led church. Our elders work together to steward the church body in all areas. The weekly teaching at our Sunday gathering is a shared responsibility between a few of our elders, as teaching pastors. All of our elders are readily accessible to the church body for guidance, support, and prayer. (1 Peter 5:1-4)
Partners // A partner is a person who has committed to The Church at East as their home church and thus are able to serve as leadership, nominate elders, have a voice in major decisions, and share in the responsibility of the church. A partner is one who gives to the church body with prayers, presence, gifts and service.
